Rockville is in Maryland, in the Northeast, where four distinct seasons shape local life: hot humid summers, snowy winters that can close businesses for a day, and a dense pattern of towns where walking, transit and street parking all matter. Traffic in Rockville peaks on weekday mornings and afternoons, so allow extra time then. Addresses read from the street number up to the city, state abbreviation and five-digit ZIP code; the map link on this page shows the exact spot.

Great neighborhood park lots of trails, plenty play grounds, even has some history to it. The path is well paved.

Lovely park. Nice trails and bridges. One thing kinda ruins it if you're there to walk your dog, and that is too many people breaking the leash law and letting their dogs wander. Had to ask two folks to leash their dogs before we could continue our walk. It's a public park, but too many entitled twits think it's their own private yard. On a related rant, I wish MoCo would actually enforce the leash laws on the books before someone's pet gets hurt. Never seen a single county or parks officer around in any of the county parks enforcing anything.

Main concern is the loads of poison hemlock growing here (see photos uploaded separately). They have areas reserved for wildlife, which is nice, but mixed in with the bushes and the grass, is hemlock, along the edges. I hope they remove it as itβs toxic and dangerous. Lots of birds and deer. Walking paths are great. One can observe people growing vegetables in their designated plots. There is a bit of exercise equipment, basketball and tennis courts, and two playgrounds far from one another. No restrooms.

Great easy one for walking and biking. Dogs friendly! Perfect for family and kids. You might be able to meet a lot of deers if you walked quietly!

The Wootton's Mill garden is an awesome community resource! You can rent a very large garden plot for $85 a year (April to November), or only $55 if you're a Rockville resident. The other gardeners are very friendly and helpful, with a lot of good advice for new gardeners, and there are many families who garden with kids. Last year I successfully grew tomatoes, squash, cucumbers, sweet corn, lettuce, radishes, carrots, peppers, sunflowers, sweet peas, and beans, and most plants did well.
